Record keeping: Laying Chart
From this chart we can get the records of the eggs gathered. We can also discern some pattern of the hens' laying habits. Some hens lay in clutches of two or three, some have intermittent patterns.
At RB Sugbo eggs are collected 2 or 3 times a day. Eggs are marked accordingly before they are taken out of the pen or yard, thus egg takers always have pencil at hand. Pencils are also hung at the door of the pen or yard to remind the egg taker to mark the eggs first before getting out of the pen or yard. Eggs gathered are brought immediately to the hatchery were an egg sorter will accept, record and store the eggs.
