How to score more wins

Cockfighting is more of competition than gambling. In the same manner that in card games, poker is more of a competition while baccarat is more on gambling side. In competition ability or performance counts more than luck.

No question about it, in cockfighting luck is a factor. Indeed a big factor in our type of slasher fighting. However, luck's influence in the out come of a cock fight diminishes as the disparity between the roosters quality and ability increases.

So strive for perofrmance because cock fighting is competion. Believe in luck, but don't leave luck to chance. Find ways to be lucky.

Good performance will not only make you win most of the time, it will also make you happy.

A win does not justify bad performance. You might not get away with it the next time. On the other hand, although good performance does not negate a loss, it somewhat eases the pain.

Success in cockfighting in best measured on your rooster’s win percentage. And a high win percentage almost always follows a consistent high level of your roosters’ fighting performance in the circuit you are competing.

Strive for good performance. Wins will follow.

To do this, you have to maintain a respectable standard as to the quality and fighting ability of the chickens you keep.

Select carefully. Learn the foundation for selecting a good cock. Master the art of selection and you will attain success in this game.

Then keep sound maintenance and conditioning programs. To complement such programs, you need to assemble an efficient and diligent team of conditioners, handlers and knifemen.

Find a way. Always make it a point to fight your warriors when they are ready.

This increment of edges will lead you to success. A little edge in breeding and in raising, a little edge in conditioning, a little edge in handling and knife-tying may sum up to a substantial advantage that luck might find difficult to over-come.

Whether you are in the game for livelihood, business or sport it always pays to strive for excellent performance. Because, although nothing is sure and definite, there is a line that separates the expert from the so-so’s and the also-runs.

What will be the standards

of the fighting rooster

of the future?

The Peruvian is getting popular in the Philippines. It is a different kind of rooster. It is much bigger, much taller, much stronger, although not necessarily better than the American Game fowl.

Definitely the Peruvian game fowl will change the standards of the future. In some instances it will tremendously improve the present bloodlines. On the other hand it could also ruin many good bloodlines of today.

The Peruvian has a couple of good traits vital to winning Long Knife fights. But it also has more bad traits. Finding out which are good and which are bad is the challenge.

We think just enough Peruvian blood is good. Too much Peruvian blood is bad.

We are trying to balance it out. Check out the PERUBLIZ.
