Cut and drop.
The cut and drop is a maneuver resorted to by a smart rooster that has found itself below the opponent in a break or buckle. The rooster below the opponent will first try to cut from under notwithstanding its unfavorable position and then immediately abandon any attempt at topping the opponent but instead fall or drop to the ground at once.
The maneuver will enable the rooster to disengage from a disadvantageous position of being below the opponent at the same time hit the ground well ahead of the opponent and thus will position itself to strike before the opponent is prepared.
Usually a ground shuffle, strafing or the horizontal intercept is executed to full advantage by the rooster employing the cut and drop maneuver.
There are even instances that the rooster cut manage to cut from under effectively during the buckle and inflict mortal or heavy damage on the opponent even before the finishing blows on the ground.
