Sometimes, we pay for the name. That’s why chickens that carry the names Dink Fair; Bruce Barnett, Carol Nesmith, Harold Brown, Johnny Jumper, Billy Ruble and many others are expensive. Yes because of the brand name. You pay for the bragging rights.
Sometimes we even pay high for fakes. Because nobody can stop anybody from naming his chickens after such and such high value names.
Here at RB Sugbo, we have generic chickens. We have the American Game, the Peruvian Navajero and a native game. Soon we will be coming up with the Continental. And, because they are generic, then they must be very affordable. By the way, American Game is the breed. Kelso, roundhead, claret, hatch, butcher, etc are names of strains of the breed, American Game. These are the brands.
However, don’t mistake affordability with low quality. Our American Game is as American Game as the others. Our Peruvian a match to the best Peruvian; our native game, the Habagat is a superior native, designed to compete in derbies.

Bakit generic?
Ginawa natin itong generic upang ipakita na wala yan sa pangalan ng lahi kundi nasa katangian. Gamit ang generic seed ay nasa inyo na po ano ang ipangalan nyo.
Ito ay upang ipakita din na mas simple ang pagpapalahi kung hindi puno ang ating isipan sa daan daang pangalan ng lahi na sa totoo ay magkatulad lang at magkaiba din. Magkatulad dahil pareho naman yang mga strains lang ng American Game. Iisang lahi lang naman sila.

Una, ang inyong paboritong linyada ay lagyan ng generic seed na angkop sa phenotypic standard o anyo.
Pagkatapos mag desisyon kung ang resulta na F1 generic x old line ay gusto nyong gawing linyada. Mag bro-sis mating upang makabuo ng bagong linyada.
Maari ring mag back breed kayo sa old line. Bale infusion lang ang generic seed.
Or ipatuloy lang ang pag upgrading pamamagitan ng pag back breed sa generic seed line o kaya’y pagkuha ng bagong generic seed na gagamitin sa mga anak ng inyong kasalukuyang matings.
